Tom Preston-Werner
Cofounder & General Partner, Cofounder GitHub
Tom helped redefine how software gets built. As the cofounder of GitHub, he led the company from idea to $7.5B acquisition and changed how developers collaborate forever. An early investor in Stripe, Netlify, and PlanetScale, he's spent the last decade backing technical founders before the hype hits. His edge: pattern recognition before the pattern.
David Price
Cofounder & General Partner, CEO
As CEO of PWV, David leads the fund's strategy, operations, and founder experience, bringing operator instincts, deep product and industry fluency, and a track record of turning signal into scale. A repeat founder and investor, he's scaled companies across AI, dev tools, fintech, and climatetech, and holds multiple patents and board seats.
David Thyresson (DT)
Cofounder & General Partner
DT is a technical founder turned investor with a track record of building and exiting startups. At PWV, he works hands-on with founders to turn complex ideas into products that scale. He also writes about how technology, culture, and creativity shape and challenge each other. When not investing in companies, he invests in vintage synths and drum machines.
Jennifer Tacheff
Head of Platform & Capital Strategy
Jennifer is a fund and growth architect who builds the ecosystems around founders and capital. At PWV, she leads platform and capital strategy — spanning investor relations, innovation, and growth — to help founders get seen, backed, and scaled. She’s coached 600+ founders, launched global programs with Google Accelerator and SXSW, and advised funds on capital and growth strategy. Her edge: architecting the systems where founders, investors, and ideas turn into markets.
Nina Song
Executive Assistant

Whether coordinating investor workflows, streamlining back-office, or ensuring the team operates at peak velocity, she keeps the engine running so PWV can move fast and deliver value where it matters most.
